ABOUT US
Since our inception in the fall of 2016, Fresh Start for Women has been a beacon of hope and transformation for over 200 women and their families, providing safe and affordable housing within a supportive and encouraging community. Most of the women we serve are mothers, many of whom are in various stages of regaining custody of their children. Over the past 8 years, Fresh Start for Women has had a profound impact, reaching more than 600 individuals who have experienced trauma and adversity.

Our Mission in Action
Transitional Housing
We offer reduced rent to our residents, provided they attend three betterment activities each week, stay current with rental payments, remain drug & alcohol free, and abide by the terms of their lease.
Financial Responsibility
We require our residents to attend financial classes, pay their own utility bills, and stay current on their rent.
Furthering Education
We provide free internet services and support to our residents who are interested in furthering their education & life skills.
Sobriety Support
We provide substance abuse recovery support for accountability as well as goal management.
OUR SUCCESSES
92% of residents regained custody of their children while at Fresh Start.
98% of those residents still have custody of their children.
92% of residents have continued to live self supporting.
85% of former residents have continued sobriety.
65% of former residents have improved their job class.
51% of former residents have furthered their education.
